About Nate Green

image6.jpeg

"Nate Green, having been raised below the poverty line and triumphed over adversity, has a unique understanding and appreciation for the socioeconomic divides of District 38", Melvin Little, Small Business Owner.

Nate is a born leader and began early on fighting for the disadvantaged. Nate’s advocacy was born after watching his single mother struggle through the devastating news that she’d contracted HIV at a time when it was ravishing the poorer communities. He not only spoke up but also spoke out in support of his mother who’d been working two and sometimes three low-wage jobs to make ends meet and keep food on the table for her kids. She worked hard to support her family and Nate worked selflessly to support her through her toughest years. Through the support of Hospice, Nate was able to provide end of life care for his mother until her passing in 2018.

Morehouse College introduced Nate to Atlanta during his high school years.  Nate moved to Atlanta after high school and began a career in transportation and logistics, crossing the entirety of the United States, learning and expanding his knowledge of other cultures while wholly invested in doing his part to keep America’s economy moving.  Nate soon found himself again addressing a community need through affordable and sustainable housing. He opened the doors to his own home and offered a new chance to low-income and struggling youth in the Bankhead community. Nate planted a community garden to address food insecurity, mentored at-risk youth, and fought tirelessly against the stigmas faced by those living with HIV. He has helped many in his community avoid state welfare and corrections systems.

Nate served as the LGBTQIA+ Relations Liaison for the 5th Congressional District of Georgia under the leadership of Hon. Kwanza Hall, US House of Representatives, developing Congressional legislation and policies which brought rental  and mortgage assistance funding, childcare assistance, and COVID relief funding to residents of District 38.

After becoming an ordained minister, Nate rose in leadership roles and eventually oversaw nearly 60 religious organizations spanning from Georgia to Africa. In 2015 Nate founded his first business  with little more than a vision and the tenacity to pursue it. He is today a successful entrepreneur with businesses and investments in real estate, logistics, food service, and manufacturing.

Through his unmatched work and work ethic, Nate has shown he is the candidate deserving of your vote!
