Nate Green

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

As a child, Nate was a born leader and began early on fighting for the disadvantaged. Nate’s advocacy was born after watching his single mother struggle through the devastating news that she’d contracted HIV at a time when it was ravishing the poorer communities. He not only spoke up but also spoke out in support of his mother who’d been working two and sometimes three low-wage jobs to make ends meet and keep food on the table for her kids. She worked hard to support her family and Nate worked selflessly to support her through her toughest years.

He has dedicated his existence to being the change needed and providing a voice for those whose words are often unheard. Take a look at his qualifications below.

As Special Assistant for The 5th Congressional District of Georgia, US House of Representatives I was tasked with:

  • Legislation Analysis, Formation, and Proposal- Development, composition, and interpretation of Congressional legislation of over 6 sponsored bills, 12 co-sponsored bills, and 2 resolutions.

  • Speech Writing- Composition of over 25 Floor speeches delivered to the House Floor by the Congressman.

  • Op-Ed Composition- Composed more than 10 Op-Ed articles to submit to national media platforms.

  • Management, Development, and Supervision of Congressional Inquiries and Related Team- Leadership of the inquiry team on policy addressing more than 200 Congressional inquiries per week outpacing expectations by more than 90%.

  • Coordinated District-Wide Virtual Town Halls Using LEIDOS Technology platforms, reaching more than 20,000 constituents at once, a first for the 5th Congressional District.

  • LGBTQ Relations Liaison

 

During my tenure as Chief of Staff with the GA House of Representatives I provided strategic counsel to Representative Keisha Waites of Georgia District 60 by planning and directing administrative, financial, and operational activities.  I coordinated, organized, and prioritized critical issues to facilitate efficient decisions by and for the Congresswoman.

As Owner/ CEO of Green Eagle Management LLC and Green Eagle Transport LLC, I was responsible for sculpting and cultivating a workspace which was reflective of Equal Employment Opportunity’s non-discriminatory standards while establishing an environment especially attractive to minorities and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

During my tenure with Covenant Transport I served as the Director of Driver Operations for Disaster Preparedness and Driver Safety Manager.  I was charged with the leadership and coordination of Transportation and Logistics responses in providing disaster aid in the following natural disasters and regions.  I was also responsible for the coordination and safe/timely transportation of several sensitive government shipments including:

  • Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans and Baton Rouge (2005)

  • Hurricane Rita, East Texas (2005)

  • Hurricane Humberto, East Texas (2007)

  • California Earthquake ( October 2007)

  • Hurricane Gustav, East Texas/Western Louisiana (2008)

  • Hurricane Ike, East Texas/ Louisiana (2008)

  • California Earthquake (January 2010)

  • GSA/NSA monitored shipment of Blackberry phones for President Barack Obama’s Administration.

  • GSA monitored shipment of computer servers for the Obama White House.

  • Other GSA monitored shipments for the Obama Administration.

 

During my tenure as Executive Director Apostolic United Fellowship of Churches, I revolutionized leadership’s organizational practices and traditions to meet the needs of a progressing member base.  

  • Directed External Affairs Outreach Programs

  • Pastored the Headquarters church for a fellowship of over 60 national and international religious organizations.

  • Developed Standard Operating Procedures for Diversity and Inclusion sensitivity training for all ministerial staff addressing the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ awareness and visibility.

  • Developed and implemented ministerial training for over 60 church leaders.

  • Maintained transparency and open communication practices for all leaders.

 

During my tenure as Executive Director for the Southeast Conference of the Church Of God In Christ, I was tasked with overseeing the formation, training, and administration of new churches by ensuring:
